1) Rich is correct about responsibility to yourself. You should never let anyone talk or think for you, no matter woman, man, and any other sub under that. You should always strive for the best no matter the situation. Even for lower income families that could just collect welfare and make it by, why "just make it by"? You should always strive to go farther and do better in life because you never know what tomorrow could bring. You take the easy road, get married, have a kid, life a simple life barely getting by, or you could go that extra distance and wait to start the family, "claim" that higher education, "claim" that higher paying job, then find the person that is right for you.

2) I think shes saying some teachers don't really judge due to ethnicity, but definitely show higher intellectual expectancy for those students, along with the students that are lower income bracket, and even athletes. The students that really have something to work towards in their lives. I believe that once a student makes that impression on the teacher that he/she doesnt want to be there anymore the teacher keeps that attitude going and lowers the expectancy of that student where as students that want to be there, want the knowledge, and want to do something with themselves get a much more higher expectancy from the teacher. Most students agree to go to services provided by the school, ex. tutoring, writing services, computer labs, etc. Where as teachers agree to discuss deeper on a topic if a student doesnt understand or if the class as an entirety shows high interest, along with tutoring after school, etc. The goal is for everyone to claim their education rightfully instead of just taking the easy way out. The concern is that no matter the income bracket, athlete, ethnicity, etc. all students should be treated equally.

  1. I agree with you on both of your responses. (1) you are right because no one person should let anyone think for them. (2) you actually gave me a new insight with this response, I never looked at it that way.

  3. I agree with this. Women are definitely judged in the world today. Men don't think we are capable of doing things like they are which is wrong!
